Trail-O Championships 2008 in Ventspils
Spectator Race

We invite all and everyone to test your skills and abilities in trail orienteering: take a European Trail Orienteering Championships course and compare your performance with that of the champions!

Date and location: 28 May 2008, 13:00, Piejūras camping, Ventspils.

Course: 3.2 km, 20 controls, 3 timed controls.

Terrain: A suburban park forest with a dense network of paths and flat contour.

Participants should keep on the trails at all times.

Map: Scale 1:5000, h 2.5 m, 2008, drawn by Jānis Gaidelis.

Punching: with punches on special control cards.

Classes: Open (regardless sex, age or physical ability).

Start interval: 1 minute.

Entry fees: LVL 5; LVL 3 for competitors under 18.

Entries: by 27 May, 19:00 at the competition arena. Entries right before the start to be charged a fee of LVL 7.

Prizes: Competitors winning places 1-6 will be awarded. Everyone who has completed the course will be given a sticker with the EOC 2008 logo.

Services: Drinking water in the start and finish area. Showers and catering available in the premises of the camping site.

Accommodation: in tents on the camping site.

Participants only vaguely familiar with the Trail-O rules will be instructed before the start.
